This illustration was done as part of the collaborative project "Valentine's Day", by the 7th class of the Ilustra S/A course.
The goal was to create a collection of greeting cards celebrating Valentine's Day. The illustrations should be colorful, joyful and express love in its many forms and colors.
In this illustration, in order to depict the desired feeling and convey the message, warm, bold colors were used, as well as a colored pencil like finishing style, to give it an familiar, intimate and inviting atmosphere.
Below, a few examples of the sketches done at the beginning of the process, to explore the possibilities of composition, characters and colors.
For this project, the initial sketches were done traditionally, with pen and paper. The illustration was done mainly on the ProCreate app for iPad. Minor retouches and corrections were one in Adobe Photoshop.
